Spindle Swivel Casters
Woodworkers with limited shop space, or those that just have a lot of materials to move around, will appreciate the tremendous flexibility and convenience they'll get by putting cabinets, carts, tools, and work stations on wheels. These urethane tires resist flattering and have excellent resistance to corrosion and wear. They have metal wheel housings on the are significantly bigger and thicker than most casters available in the woodworking market, and have tires that are nearly 1-1/4" across. Roller bearing axles ensure smooth rolling and long life, while the hub shields give the bearings additional protection from dust and dirt contaminants. 3" casters are 4-1/4" tall from the floor to the top of the plate and have a load capacity of 220 lbs. 4" casters are 5-1/8" tall from the floor to the top of the plate and have a load capacity of 275 lbs. The brake mechanisms lock both the swivel and the wheel. Spindle Casters are best used on open stands or work tables where plate mounted casters would be impractical to attach.
